NM Rush 02B to play in 2019 Generation Adidas Cup in Dallas, TX

Current NM Rush 02B standout, Gabe Legendre will play with the Portland Timbers USSF DA U16/17B's this coming April 13-20 at Toyota Park in Dallas, TX. The Portland Timbers U16/17B DA team currently sit in 6th place in the Northwest USSF DA standings. Gabe will play with the Timbers as a Discovery Player. This Discovery Player option allows Gabe to continue to play with the his current NM Rush 02B (2019 Boys ECNL Mountain Division Championship), but will allow Gabe to play 6 or less games a year with the Timbers DA team. The Generation Adidas Cup will also let Gabe see how he stacks up as an individual player against some of the top youth players his age from the US and Europe. According to NM Rush Technical Director; Justin Sells, "This Discovery Player option is great for Gabe as it gives him the opportunity to get experience at the USSF DA level, but allows him to continue to develop and gain valuable on field experience with his local team, Rush Select XI Program, and our talented coaching staff at NM Rush. At the end of the day these MLS and DA Academies want the most capable players regardless of affiliation. I really believe this situation is a win - win for the player. I would like to thank Portland Timbers DA Head Coach, Ryan Miller for allowing Gabe this opportunity."
