Why do we need to pay by credit card? Why the 3% fee? NM Rush Spring Cup only accepts credit card payment. Unfortunately we are assessed a per transaction fee (3%), and need to pass this on to teams. Credit cards allow for immediate payment.  Many tournaments throughout the country adhere to a credit card only payment policy. This also avoids teams registering and paying by check, only to have checks bounce or teams not show up and cancel checks. Unfortunately, some “bad apples” necessitate the credit card only payment.

Why is there a team parking fee?:   A fee is charged to offset the cost of renting the fields from the City of Albuquerque. Collecting of parking fees (normally $5 per car per day) at the event causes traffic issues and delays.   To eliminate this issue we have implemented a per team parking fee as follows: U7-U8 ($60), U9-U10 ($70), U11-U19 ($80).

Why can’t we stay at hotels other than those on your approved list: As is the case with most tournaments around the country, NM Rush has worked with a variety of hotels to provide reasonable rates to teams attending our event. These hotels help sponsor the event, keeping the tournament costs as low as possible for teams. This also helps us ensure that teams have a good experience with the hotels they stay in, as our hotels are carefully selected each year for cleanliness, hospitality and location.

Where and when is check in?: Check in will be held Friday evening between 6:00pm and 9:00pm at the Marriott Pyramid located at 5151 San Francisco Road NE, Albuquerque, NM. Phone number is (505) 821-3333. The Marriott Pyramid will serve as the host hotel for the weekend.

Where are the fields? NM Rush Spring Cup will be held at the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta Park this year. Located on the north side of Albuquerque, this location allows for quicker drive times to the fields, the Albuquerque International Airport, and convenience to a variety of eateries for meals between and after games.

Protests and Bad Weather Policy? No protests will be entertained.  Bad weather is an act of God.  Teams are to accept the decision of the tournament officials as to playability and therefore the outcome of competition without any appeal, objection, or compensation.
